COVID-19 UPDATE
Dear groove families:
Due to the ongoing situation with the COVID-19 virus, groove music school will move to virtual (video) lessons starting tomorrow, Monday, March 16. We expect this to continue for at least the next 2 weeks.
In order to have your video lesson, you need to sign up to your Teacherzone student account on a desktop or laptop with microphone and camera (no phones or tablets). Once logged in at your lesson time, your teacher will initiate the video lesson. It is preferred to use the Chrome browser for video conferencing. The link below offers a tutorial for the video lessons in Teacherzone:
If you have issues with this set up or don’t have access to a desktop/laptop, please contact us and we’ll find an alternative.
While the situation is dire and complicated for us all, we’re happy to be able to offer some continuity for our students and the ability to maintain their musical instruction through this difficult time.
We understand having our young ones at home full time can be stressful. In an effort to offer you some options for activities, our teachers have extended their schedules and will be available for additional video lessons. If you ever thought of increasing the number of lessons, this may be a good time to do it. During this time we’ll be offering the option of adding lessons for $25 per :30 lesson. Please text us or email us if you would like to book additional times.
Unfortunately our band program will have to be placed on hold until we can return to the school.
In other news, we’re planning on holding our Spring Recital on Saturday May 23. The (tentative) deadline for signing up will be April 15. We have a new location for our recital this time around, we’ll hold it at the Harvest Green Farmhouse (3400 Harvest Corner Dr, Richmond, TX 77406). Times to be determined.
Thank you and we’ll continue to keep you informed if anything changes.
