Mr. Charlie studied Drums in his native Indonesia at the prestigious Yamaha Music Indonesia Academy where he received special recognitions in December 1997 and again in March 1999. He also attended the Indonesia Music Institute in 2003 where he further studied percussion and drums. During his studies he performed throughout Indonesia in ensembles of different styles. In 2007 he also attended the recognized Drummer Collective Institute in New York City. Mr. Charlie has extensive performance experience and part of his studies has always been teaching. He has been teaching students of all ages for over 15 years.
